Round 4 Wrap-Up: Isaac Extends Championship Lead

Phillip Island once again lived up to its reputation as one of Australia’s most challenging and spectacular racing circuits. For Round 4 of the Motorsport Australia AU4 Championship, the high-speed coastal track delivered everything from podium finishes to unexpected setbacks — and Isaac McNeill rose to the occasion with another strong weekend.

Race 1 set the tone, with Isaac showing pace and determination to claim a podium finish in third place. The highlight came in Race 2, where, after post-race penalties were applied to other drivers, Isaac was promoted to P1 — securing his fourth win of the season and extending his impressive championship campaign.

Race 3 brought its share of drama. After charging his way into the lead, Isaac’s race was turned upside down when contact from a competitor’s front wing punctured his rear tyre. An unscheduled pit stop dropped him down the order, but with grit and determination, Isaac fought back through the field to finish 5th in class.

Despite the challenges, the weekend ended on a high with Isaac taking third overall for the round and, most importantly, continuing to lead the AU4 Championship standings.

The team now turns its focus to Sydney, where Round 5 awaits in just two weeks’ time. With momentum still firmly on his side, Isaac remains in a strong position to fight for the championship crown.
